Oil and Gas, Upstream and Refineries
Commonwealth’s extensive experience in the heavy industrial and manufacturing industries and its association with the CH2M HILL suite of companies has equipped it well to move into the oil and gas sector. Currently, it is contracted to provide the construction services for a major refinery upgrade. It has also been involved in the development of bulk terminals, infrastructure, gas processing facilities and petrochemical complexes.

Power Generation
Commonwealth has been very successful in moving into the Power Sector and particularly into cogeneration. In the last several years, acting either solely or on EPC projects with CH2M HILL it has been awarded construction services for three major cogeneration projects as well as one mechanical installation of combustion turbines at a generating station.

Mining Operations
Since 1961, Commonwealth has provided modernization, plant upgrades and greenfield construction for mining installations around the world. That experience teamed with CH2M HILL’s financial capabilities and additional mining experience makes it possible for Commonwealth to take on the most complex, technologically challenging work.

Pulp and Paper
Commonwealth entered the paper industry in 1958. Since that time, it has constructed and serviced major pulp mills, newsprint, and coated paper facilities. This has included complete mill installations, equipment rebuilds, turnarounds, and supervisory consulting for instrumentation and start-up.
