Vancouver Meetup with Dr. Cameron Murray, Chief Economist of Fresh Economic Thinking

On February 10, 2024, Common Wealth Canada held its first ever meetup in Vancouver with Dr. Cameron Murray, Chief Economist at Fresh Economic Thinking.

BC has been a frontier for a number of important policy ideas in Canada, land value capture being one of them. Tonight, we brought together some of the most active advocates promoting this for the province.

After a short talk and Q&A with Cameron, we used a Lean Coffee format to facilitate break-out session topics voted on by the group. We look forward to continue growing this community and building awareness with policymakers to make LVT and sharing economic rents a priority.
